The frost has allowed us to start snowmaking again, and we are gradually preparing more slopes. At the moment, you can ski the full-length Slalomová slope, the family-friendly Spodní Šance, and the children’s area with a magic carpet. We are also bringing back evening skiing on Spodní Šance. The first dates are 27–29 December, and then it will run regularly every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
Forecasted natural snowfall was only light in our part of Šumava, with just a few centimeters. The good news is that night temperatures dropped to -7 °C and stayed below zero during the day as well, which made it possible to restart snowmaking. We are first improving the slopes that are already open, and then we will continue with other runs in the resort.
Right now, we offer skiing on the full Slalomová (slope no. 3), on the family Spodní Šance, and in the children’s area with a moving belt. A tow lift will take you back to the cars at the main parking lot. The slope next to it will be snowed later, depending on the weather and technical conditions.
We also have good news for everyone who wants to ski after dark.
Evening skiing on Spodní Šance will run again in December on 27, 28 and 29 December. On 30 December (the Světlušky event) and 31 December (Torchlight Descent), evening skiing will not take place.
For the rest of the season, evening operation will be every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, always from 18:30 to 21:00. For evening skiing, only Night Skiing, Season, and Points tickets are valid.
